Position Details

The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) now welcomes applications from suitably qualified professional for the position of Executive Director, Economic Development and International branch. This is a flexible, fixed term position for up to 5 years.

The Economic Development and International Branch is responsible for advising the Premier on a range of economic development, industry and international policy issues. Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, this leadership role provides high-level advice and support to the Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, Premier and relevant Ministers on a broad range of economic development, industry and international policy issues. As well as identifying emerging economic policy issues facing the government, they also monitor the implementation of key initiatives.

You will have demonstrated experience working at senior executive level within government and capacity to manage complex projects building strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You are a confident and capable leader who is focussed on achieving quality outcomes. You can influence and negotiate effectively at all levels. A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
