Warrnambool’s award winning foreshore promenade is a 5.7km path that stretches from the breakwater along the coastline to the Hopkins River mouth. The promenade is very popular and you can walk, run, ride or skate along this scenic trail. Almost every year between June and September the Southern Right Whales return to the waters off Warrnambool and often swim within a hundred meters of the shore.

Position Details

The 2020 Collaborative Graduate Nurse Program (CGNP) is a joint initiative between South West Healthcare - Warrnambool Base Hospital and Terang & Mortlake Health Service. Applications are now invited for the 2020 year. 

All our CGNP positions are subject to the state-wide Computer Matching process, conducted by the Post Graduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV). All graduate nurse posts are allocated in Victoria through this Computer Matching Service. The rules for CGNP eligibility and matching to all the Hospitals in Victoria are governed by PMCV in conjunction with the Victorian Government funding body, Department of Health and Human Services. To be eligible for CGNP in Victoria you must be a graduate of a Victorian University and a Victorian permanent resident. Graduates of interstate Universities or full-fee paying Victoria graduates can still apply for a limited number of places. Refer to PMCV guidelines and website for full details www.pmcv.com.au 

Warrnambool is a thriving seaside city with a population of over 34,000, and South West Healthcare's hospital is considered one of the most modern and technologically advanced health services in regional Australia.  This enables us to provide world best-practice treatment, care and support to a catchment population of 110,000 spread across 10,323 square kilometres.   1. One page covering letter addressed to Gaynor Stevenson (Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery) indicating why you would like to undertake a Graduate Nurse Program at South West Healthcare and Terang & Mortlake Health Service
  2. Curriculum Vitae/Resume (maximum two pages), including two professional referees and one non-clinical referee
  3. Copy of your academic transcript to date (including grading key)
  4. Copy of two most recent acute clinical placement assessments
  5. Copy of passport styled photograph of applicant 

Personal interviews will be conducted with shortlisted candidates from Wednesday 14th August 2019 until Friday 16th August 2019 in Warrnambool.
