Position Details

The primary purpose of this role is to conduct behavioural assessments on greyhounds entering the Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP), this includes conducting behavioural assessment off site at various testing locations around the state as well as conducting assessments on site at GAP. The role also includes providing training to the greyhounds at GAP and administrative support to the GAP office.

GAP Assessors may also be required to participate in the review and improvement of behaviour programs at GAP along with reviewing greyhound assessment outcomes. A GAP Assessor may be called on to provide behavioural advice to GAP adoptees, greyhound trainers and members of the public.

The administrative support includes but is not limited to answering enquiries, attending promotions and other duties as reasonably required. It is essential that the person has the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment, has the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing, the successful candidate will also have a great attention to detail and accuracy.
