Position Details

In conjunction with Barwon South West Regional Public Health organisations, South West Healthcare (SWH) is excited to host a Project Coordinator to lead the Training Capacity Project. The role is a fixed term position supported by SWH's Medical Division, the key objective of the position will be to lead the consultative processes with relevant stakeholders and key industry or sector players in order to achieve the objectives and goals of the project. 

The project will inform the design, development and implementation of a coordinated training pathway for Rural Generalist Training in the Region. A focus will be the capacity to respond to the future hospital-based medical and medical procedural care needs of the regional communities. The Rural Generalist Training Pathway will provide a highly attractive career development opportunity for junior doctors and achieve a high rate of retention of trainees as General Practitioners (GPs) and General Practitioner – Rural Generalists (GP-RGs) providing procedural services in the region. 

The successful applicant will have relevant clinical qualification and/or  qualifications and experience in health administration and project management. Demonstrated experience communicating and developing networks with clinicians in a healthcare setting.as well as exceptional communication skills, including demonstrated written communication skills and experience in writing reports, submissions and plans are essential.
