Position Details

The Department of Premier and Cabinet welcomes applications from suitably qualified professionals for the position of Assistant Director, Community Security and Emergency Management.

Reporting to the Director of the Community Security and Emergency Management Branch, the Assistant Director supports the management of the team across the works areas of: security and government resilience policy; emergency management policy; protective security; and secretariat services for high level committees.

In this role you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-level advice and supporting information to key security and emergency management decision makers during high profile and high impact emergencies. This will require you to liaise across the government and with other jurisdictions. Your previous experience will demonstrate your sound understanding of government, public policy, and expertise in security and emergency management policy and practice.

In this role you will work in partnership with the Director, using excellent people leadership skills, to develop and sustain a positive workplace culture.
