Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior DevOps Engineer within the Digital, Design and Innovation branch at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. 

The Digital, Design and Innovation branch within the Governance Policy and Coordination Group delivers modern digital infrastructure, platforms and services and encourages digital innovation and reform across the whole of Victorian Government. The DDI branch makes it easier for Victorians to find, access, and interact with Victorian Government and the information, data and services it provides. DDI provides advice, tools and capability to improve the way government takes advantage of digital channels.

Working within a dedicated, collaborative team designing and delivering digital services. You will be driving continuous improvement across a range of hosting infrastructure services. The main focus will be on OpenShift based hosting platforms used by Single Digital Presence (SDP) project, https://www.vic.gov.au/what-single-digital-presence-offers, and the Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) API, https://developer.vic.gov.au/. The technology stack includes some standard AWS and Azure VM based hosting services as well as CI/CD pipelines using tools including Lagoon (https://github.com/amazeeio/lagoon), GitHub, Jenkins and CircleCI.
