Position Details

About the role

South West Medical Centre is a GP clinic run as a separate business unit of South West Healthcare. The practice aims to deliver a service that is accessible, affordable, culturally appropriate and responsive to the healthcare needs of the community. Consulting space includes six medical rooms and two procedure rooms.   In conjunction with the staff of the co-located Community Health Centre, there is a focus on integrated chronic disease management and multi-disciplinary care.  Strong links with both Deakin University and GP Training organisations provides the practice with both teaching and research capability.

This role will provide innovative operational management to ensure best clinical practice is achieved, financial viability and development of a positive workplace environment underpinned by the SWH values.

The role is a permanent position supported by a strong and experienced leadership team. The ideal commencement date for the successful candidate is late December 2019.

What you bring

As an experienced manager with a minimum of 5 years' in healthcare and/or management and substantial administration experience you will ideally hold tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in management. Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential, and a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulation and contemporary practice is a must.
