About the role

We are seeking motivated Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Child Psychologists or Social Workers to work within our child-focussed, multidisciplinary team as part of the “School Readiness Funding” and “Speech Pathology in Schools” initiatives.  These programs work collaboratively with kindergartens, primary schools and families, to provide quality programs and supports to help children get the most out of their early learning.  Our team of Allied Health Professionals work in collaboration with educators in kindergartens, teachers in schools, and with families, to build their capability to create an environment for early primary school aged children that promotes:

  • improved speech, language, social interaction and early literacy outcomes
  • self-regulation and positive and pro-social behaviours
  • social and emotional wellbeing and mastery of everyday tasks.

The School Readiness Program will provide services across the South West region, and these positions may be based in Warrnambool, Portland, Hamilton or Camperdown.

Full time or part time positions are available until December 2021. 

What you bring

As an experienced Allied Health Clinician, you will have proven clinical experience working within the early years or education sector, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated collaborative approach to multi-disciplinary care.  You will have a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary practice and passion for driving client centred care.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2016 – 2020 or Victorian Public Health Sector (Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021, with the appropriate classification of Psychologist or Social Worker Grade 1 or 2.
