About the role

South West Healthcare's (SWH) Mental Health Directorate is a high performing service providing acute and community mental health clinical expertise. The Way Back Support Service (WBSS) is a non-clinical support service focussed on providing practical psychological support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or attempted suicide. The program is a partnership with Western Victoria Primary Care Network (PNC) and Wellways as the community support service.               

 We are seeking a motivated and skilled clinician (Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Social worker, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist) to join our team. This role will work collaboratively in the multi-disciplinary team to support service delivery, policy development, change management processes, including quality improvement, and implementation of new or changed procedures. A fundamental aim of WBSS is to reduce the risk of suicide (re)attempts following a previous attempt or suicidal crisis referred to as a post-vention model

 The position is part time 48 hours per fortnight position currently funded to June 2022.
