Victoria Legal Aid – what we do:
We help people with their legal problems by providing information, advice and education with a focus on the prevention and early resolution of legal problems. We also provide legal representation to those who need it most. We employ over 800 staff in 14 offices across Victoria. The role:
The Assignments team is responsible for administering the legal aid fund through grants of legal assistance in an efficient, fair and economic manner. The Senior Policy and Projects Officer will provide strategic policy advice and project leadership to the Assignments management team. This role will oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of policy initiatives and work with counterparts across the organisation to promote collaboration and program knowledge.

• Salary commensurate with experience, range: $82,914 - $103,640 plus superannuation

• Full time or part time maximum term contract (9 months)

About you:
An exceptional communicator, you will have the ability to influence and negotiate with people across all levels of the organisation. You will have high level writing skills and policy analysis skills, including an ability to think laterally and innovatively in providing strategies and solutions. A skilled relationship-builder, you will have demonstrated experience in project management and stakeholder engagement functions.
