Position Details

The Department of Premier and Cabinet is leading a Whole of Victorian Government digital reform program that will transform the way the Victorian Public Service operates and engages with the community.

Digital Victoria is responsible for driving digital transformation across government, making it easier for business, communities and citizens to connect with government.  Digital Victoria has an opportunity for an experienced, executive level manager to join the branch in the role of Program Director, Whole of Victorian Government Application Programming Interface Capability Program (WoVG API).

The Program Director – WoVG API Program is an opportunity for a proven strategic senior manager, to drive and champion the integration strategy across the WoVG.  This role will coordinate the WoVG API and the API Marketplace to drive innovation and connectivity across Government.  The Program Director will lead the initiative to facilitate easier access to content, data and services which will enhance the delivery and engagement with government services.

Reporting into the Director of Product Engineering and working closely with Digital Victoria executives and program leads, critical vendors and services providers, the Program Director will be responsible for leading the WoVG Program team, managing customer requirements and driving the strategic objectives to meet expectations of the Government and Victorians.

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage and develop large multi-disciplinary teams to deliver a high-quality products and services to clients.
  • Proven high-level interpersonal, representational and communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in conceptual analysis and strategic thinking.
