  • This is a key role within the MRPV Land, Planning & Environment team, where you will be working on identifying and delivering upon sustainability opportunities on a wide variety of road infrastructure projects.

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

  • Leading, supporting and motivating a small team of sustainability specialists to support project teams and contractors ensuring delivery of sustainability performance requirements and delivery of Recycled First opportunities and initiatives. 
  • Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key industry partners (including other MTIA project teams and ISC) to identify needs, opportunities and priorities regarding sustainability inclusions across infrastructure projects, in line with evolving industry standards.  
  • Developing mutually beneficial collaboration with key government and non-government stakeholders, including contractors and ISC, regarding integrating sustainable infrastructure initiatives throughout road projects to achieve successful outcomes.  
  • Providing expert advice and leadership regarding the development of sustainable infrastructure to relevant stakeholders internally and externally to MRPV. 
  • Supporting the development, implementation and reporting of MRPV's sustainability framework including utilisation of Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) IS Rating Tools.
  • Further review and develop our framework to ensure we are continually improving and achieving leading practice in relation to sustainable infrastructure   
  • Actively engaging with projects in delivery to provide support, expert review, monitor and evaluate performance.

 

Naturally we are looking for a proven track record and extensive experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of tools and plans in relation to infrastructure and environmental sustainability, in particular the use of Rating Tools, to deliver positive outcomes for the delivery of infrastructure projects.  Of most importance is a high level interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels.

The role sits within the Land, Planning & Environment team of the Program Services and Engineering Division, reporting to the Senior Manager, Property & Technical Services based in our Melbourne office.
