Position Details

The Department of Premier and Cabinet has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Program Officer to join the Victorian Centre for Data Insights (VCDI) branch.

VCDI has a whole-of-government role in leading the transformation of the VPS through data driven insights. It is helping to transform the way the Victorian Government uses data to inform policy making and service design on issues that cut across portfolios and are of whole-of-government significance.

As the Program Officer, you will be a key member of the Strategic Partnership, Analytics and Innovation team, responsible for supporting the efficient delivery of agile projects to strategic partners and providing program reporting to managers and executives.

You will use your excellent interpersonal skills to provide support to a range of internal and external stakeholders and deliver best practice initiatives while also being self-starting, proactive and calm under pressure. 

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience as an agile project officer or coordinator, supporting complex technology or government projects
  • Proven ability to follow, establish, implement and maintain efficient processes and guidelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritise own workload
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
