Major Road Projects Victoria

Working at Major Road Projects Victoria means being part of something big. We oversee more than 50 projects as a cornerstone of Victoria's Big Build, including some of the State's most important roads.

Our Big Build Graduate program has also been recognised as one of the Australia's best workplaces for Graduates in 2022 – winning this award through the AFR (Aust Financial Review) and the AAGE (Aust Association of Graduate Employers). These rankings are the definitive guide to the best places to work for new graduates entering the workforce, as voted by Graduates!

We need someone to join our team who is passionate and energised to continue to lead our award winning Graduate Program, as well someone who is motivated and genuinely interested in shaping the development of our early career professionals.

This is a critical role in our organisation! It collaborates across every function and level of management, including the Executive Leadership Team, as it is pivotal in managing the full suite of employment programs at MRPV.

You will be a self-motivated project manager, with the ability to oversee a range of programs from campaign marketing, through to recruitment/selection and then onboarding and learning/development.

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

  • Ensuring the delivery of all current and conceptual Employment Programs which includes:
    • Overseeing the support to program participants
    • Liaising with, and provide sound advice to HR Business Partners, Directors, and Managers on a range of graduate and intern placement queries
    • Reviewing, managing, reporting and presenting on progress against the strategic plan for the early talent pipeline
    • Designing and updating a range of communication and marketing collateral with support from the design studio
  • Supporting the delivery of all learning and development initiatives as they relate to employment programs e.g. the Graduate Learning Series, Intern inductions, mentoring program. This will include design and facilitation from time to time.
  • Leading the delivery of all end to end recruitment employment activities (including advertising, sourcing, screening, short-listing, interviewing, assessment centre development, offers etc
  • Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders including other MTIA project offices, the Victorian Public Sector Commission (VPSC), universities across Victoria, training providers and recruitment agencies. This includes representing MRPVs interests on the MTIA Graduate Program Working Group.
  • Leading, building and developing a small team (2) to deliver the Employment programs

This role is a 3-year fixed term position.

We do work that matters:

  • At our heart is a commitment to building better roads throughout Victoria. It's about creating more capacity for our network, improving safety and ensuring drivers enjoy more reliable journeys. But this is just beginning!
