About the role

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (O & G) to join our Medical Directorate in providing high quality and cost effective Obstetrics and Gynaecology services.

The Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist position is predominately clinically focused, although there are clinically related management functions associated with the position.  These management functions are in support of the Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and are focused on quality and risk management activities and professional development.

The Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist will work co-operatively with the other Obstetrician and Gynaecologists in providing ongoing Obstetrics and Gynaecological cover to SWH.

This is a permanent full time position.

As a current FRANZCOG qualified and Medical Practitioners Board of Australia registered Specialist O & G, you will have developed broad experience and skills in the relevant field to enable confident clinical practice in a regional community.

Commitment to quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice improvements and demonstrated effective communication, conflict management and team building skills is essential. The successful application will also have experience in and a positive attitude relating to the training needs of junior medical staff.
