South West Healthcare (SWH) is the major acute referral site for the South West Region, has a Deakin Clinical School onsite and is the largest employer in the region. We can offer an outstanding career opportunity as a salaried Specialist Anaesthetist.
About the role
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, team orientated Specialist Anaesthetist to join our Medical Service. The Specialist Anaesthetist provides high quality clinical and non-clinical services to the benefit of the patients of SWH.
As part of the team of salaried and VMO specialists, the successful applicant will support working towards expanding and continuously improving the quality of anaesthetic services provided at SWH.
What you bring
The successful applicant will have a medical degree fully registered with AHPRA, the qualification of Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or other equivalent specialist qualification. You will have a broad experience in the field of Anaesthetics to enable confident clinical practice in a regional area and a commitment to quality improvement activities related to the practice.
Effective communication, conflict management and team building skills along with experience in training junior medical staff is also essential.
