Position Details

At Digital Victoria we are upping the ante - in order for Victoria to thrive we need to be ambitious about transforming the way we do digital.

Our vision is simple, to build a Victoria with better, more accessible services, a public sector that is digital ready and a digital economy that thrives. To do that we will champion the use of data and new technologies, lead collaboration efforts across Victorian Government and put the Victorian public at the heart of what we do.

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to join our Service Design team, helping to build and extend Single Digital Presence (SDP).

SDP exists to make government information easier for Victorians to find, understand and use. We do this by fostering a community of digital practitioners, providing them with a purpose-built digital publishing platform, and bringing their work together through a single public website.

The UX Designer will be responsible for:

  • using Human-Centred Design expertise to identify problems, design solutions and support decision making for the SDP platform
  • engaging in quantitative and qualitative user research
  • managing workshops among a broad base of stakeholders.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • experience planning and facilitating user research and usability testing
  • communication and requirement gathering skills through various methods
  • technical writing ability and an ability to communicate functionality and requirements to other designers and developers
  • ability to effectively work within and contribute to an Agile workflow.

Working with us, you can make a difference not just in your career, but in the community where you work and live.
