ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Portfolio Lead, the Portfolio Manager provides key leadership to a tribe to guide the successful delivery of programs and projects through the provision of strategic and operational support, including operational reporting, risk, issue and dependency tracking, quality control and cross tribe collaboration and engagement.
 
This position works under broad direction and is accountable for exercising a considerable degree of independence and performs a leadership role. They will manage key stakeholder relationships, resolve issues, and deliver quality outcomes. 
 
ABOUT YOU                 
Our ideal candidate would be able to successfully demonstrate the following key skills:
·       Implement the overall direction of the program and solve new and/or complex problems, particularly with reference to stakeholders 
·       Plan, organise, lead, and direct the work of others to ensure successful delivery of the program 
·       Manage a diverse set of resources to deliver IT programs; develop strategies and evaluate project and business outcomes 
·       Guide project managers to identify risks, issues and dependencies while ensuring effective controls are identified and actively managed 
·       Implement effective governance controls for work within the tribe including collaboration with other tribe portfolio managers to establish consistent frameworks and ways of working 
·       Provide expert strategic and technical advice and deliver results with a significant degree of independence
·       Implement the IT vision and strategy and develop processes to ensure provision of consistent and accurate IT work plan information 
 
QUALIFICATIONS        
·       Extensive expertise and experience in leading the design and delivery of complex programs within an agile development environment.  
·       Proven ability to establish and maintain effective governance and assurance processes and practices within complex and highly regulated environments. 
·       Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate portfolio, program and project management resources within complex change programs comprising multiple stakeholders, service entities and vendors.
