About North East Link

North East Link is the biggest ever investment in Melbourne's north-east – changing the way people move around Melbourne.

Victoria's longest road tunnels will fix the missing link in our city's freeway network, take 15,000 trucks off local roads a day and slash travel times by up to 35 minutes. We'll also complete the Ring Road in Greensborough, overhaul the Eastern Freeway, build Melbourne's first dedicated busway and the North East Trail – more than 34km of walking and cycling paths.

About the Opportunity

Be part of a transformative infrastructure project for Victoria, with an exciting role in the North East Link Program's Delivery Freeways! As our Senior Planner and Scheduler, you will be embedded into the East Delivery Package, working alongside the Project Controls team as part of a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Reporting to the Delivery Lead, East, you will play a vital role in providing high level planning and strategic advice for package leadership, developing schedules for various complex work packages and monitors progression of works.

This position partners with internal and external executive stakeholders ensuring completeness, accuracy and clarity of works schedules, the identification of critical works, and the timely communication of schedule delays and issues arising along with mitigation strategies.

Travel and time spent at a future site office (Heidelberg) may be requirement of this position.

About You

  • You will be a highly experienced planning and scheduling professional with a relevant Engineering qualification, who is ambitious to test their skills and experience on Victoria's most high profile and complex infrastructure project.
  • Not only will you possess an excellent track record in delivering complex schedules, but you will also be able to see the bigger picture implications behind contractor proposals.
  • Extensive knowledge of whole of project life-cycle project management and program methodologies including business case development and demonstrated delivery through design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
  • Extensive experience in the preparation of work breakdown structures and project budgets and ability to relate physical activities to project costing and Earned Value frameworks.
  • Ability to develop detailed construction programs for major infrastructure projects from first principles using measured quantities and industry accepted productivity rates utilising Primavera or Microsoft Project.
