About the role

The Health, Safety and Injury Management Adviser supports the Health, Safety and Wellbeing department to promote a range of initiatives aimed at building the safety culture across all areas of the Organisation.

Working in a fast paced environment this role will provide proactive support to the Health Safety and Wellbeing Manager in developing the abilities of managers and staff on all elements of health and safety. As the Health, Safety and Injury Management Adviser you play a vital role in coordinating the worker's compensation, injury management and return to work activities to ensure workplace injuries are investigated and proactively managed to support South West Healthcare's duty of care to its employees.

This is a permanent full time position, with a monthly ADO and 5 weeks annual leave.

What you bring

The successful applicant will hold a qualification in Health and Safety or related field and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with demonstrated experience in supporting and promoting a safety culture in a complex environment. An understanding of OHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice and best practice is essential to this role. Strong highly developed communication skills (written and verbal) and organisational skills are integral to this role.
