Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and experienced Senior Integration Architect to join the Technology and Transformation Branch at the Department of Premier & Cabinet.

The Technology and Transformation branch sits within Digital Victoria Group and leads work on government strategic platforms, core and common platforms, systems and solutions, WOVG technology architecture governance and assurance, specialist capability CoEs and delivery and management of Digital Victoria's technology solutions.

As the Senior Integration Architect, API Platform, you will have overall responsibility for the technical architecture of the APIs running within the Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) API Platform, including the API development practices across WoVG and for overseeing the development of successful government agency APIs and platform integrations.

You will provide subject matter expertise and manage and maintain effective relationships with vendors and service provider partners.

 The team values systems thinking, pragmatic problem solving, initiative and resourcefulness.

About you

The below requirements are mandatory to be successful in this role;

  • Extensive experience in the IT industry working with API Gateways, SOA, ESB, Networking, Security, Middleware.
  • Extensive experience writing client facing technical documentation including requirements, solution architecture and detailed application design documents.
  • Hands on familiarity with middleware solution, web services technologies (SOAP, XML), Enterprise Security Standards (OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, SSO, Firewall, WS-Security,PKI) etc.
  • Hands on development experience with some of the following: Java/ JEE, JavaScript, Python, PHP, XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, SAML, NodeJS and other API related technologies.
