The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the planning and delivery of the Victorian Government's multibillion-dollar health infrastructure program including $16.6 billion in managed assets and $8.8 billion in planning and delivery.

 Our work includes planning and building new hospitals and ambulance stations, aged care and mental health facilities, early parenting centres, redeveloping existing hospital facilities as well as replacing and upgrading engineering infrastructure.

 The Senior Project Officer, Design Services is accountable for overseeing and driving good design outcomes in all aspects of the planning and delivery of health infrastructure including provision of authoritative advice in:

  • translation of service models into strategic functional briefs for contemporary health environments,
  • advocating for best practice urban design outcomes that promote health and well-being,
  • recognised technical health planning and architectural design advice aligned with evidence-based design principles
  • design industry thought leadership in the design of Government investment
  • interrogation and reviews of masterplans, feasibility studies and delivery design gateways
