Position Details

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Management Advisor to join the growing and innovative Information and Knowledge Management team on a full-time, ongoing basis. The Information Management Advisor will report to the Information Manager to deliver a varied program of works.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and promoting records management best practice including hardcopy records, and electronic records in SharePoint
  • Refining and completing a disposal program for the legal destruction and archiving of VEC temporary information
  • Preparing permanent information for transfer, including consulting with key VEC officers and the Public Record Office Victoria (PROV)
  • Implementation of a digitisation program to introduce and promote business process improvement(s) including conversion of source information

What you'll bring

  • Experience implementing or coordinating a disposal or digitisation program
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • Demonstrated experience advising on an issue
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently within a small team collaboratively and effectively
  • Proficient in an EDRMS with records management functionality
