Senior Ecology Advisor

This is an exciting opportunity for an Ecology professional with a proven track record in delivering specialist advice and guidance on Ecology, biodiversity, and wildlife issues impacting the planning and delivery of projects. Your will have a sound working knowledge of biodiversity legislation and planning requirements in Victoria and be experienced in reviewing related technical reports and documents. You will also have the opportunity to develop guidance, systems, training, and other initiatives to support positive environmental compliance and biodiversity outcomes on MRPV projects.

  • Providing authoritative technical advice on ecology and planning approval matters to support the delivery of MRPV projects.
  • Supporting MRPVs environmental management systems relating to relevant State and Federal environmental legislative obligations.
  • Contributing to developing guidance material, training, and biodiversity initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with MRPV colleagues, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project requirements and resolve complex environmental, planning and approval issues.
  • Developing strong relationships and liaise closely with the contractors, relevant regulators and stakeholders including DELWP, DAWE, and municipal councils.


As Senior Ecology Advisor you will contribute to improving biodiversity outcomes both through project outcomes and strategic initiatives contributing to Victoria's environment. 

This role sits within the Land, Planning, and Environment team within MRPV and will report to the Senior Manager, Ecology.
