Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) Registered Nurse

The AOD Registered Nurse – Place of Safety is responsible for providing safety and care to persons who are identified as being intoxicated or drug affected in public when that person’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves or the community. The role provides both rostered and on-call outreach services to people in the community who have been identified as intoxicated or drug affected and in need of assistance to a place of safety for sobering up. Working with an AOD Harm Reduction Practitioner, the role will support AOD affected clients by providing supervision, monitoring, and transport to a place of safety, therefore minimising possible harm associated with public intoxication.
