About the Role:

A wonderful, full time, fixed term opportunity has arisen for a District Support Officer to join a friendly, supportive and close-knit team based in Chirnside Park through to 31 March 2023.  

Key responsibilities of this varied hands-on role will include:

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Daily administrative duties including the preparation of documents, receiving, sorting and distributing mail/deliveries
  • Data entry, records administration, database and systems coordination,
  • Accounts payable and general office support including inventory of stock.   

Your days will be varied and you will be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including our volunteers, where your ability to be professional and customer focused will be second to none.

About You:

The person we are looking for will be both administrative yet practical and keen to join a small team that will provide you with the ability to apply your array of skills to a variety of tasks.  Ideally you will have a strong commitment to teamwork and bring a skill set that will consist of demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes, administrative skills inclusive of an excellent telephone manner, customer focus and accounts skills.

Crucial to your success in this role will be your adaptability, attitude, willingness to learn and desire to work as part of a great team.  You will also be highly motivated and keen to demonstrate your initiative.   Naturally you will have excellent attention to detail and organisational and time-management skills managing a multitude of tasks in an efficient and effective manner.

Furthermore, you'll have experience with Microsoft Office 365 and a strong working knowledge of MS Excel and maintaining databases.  Experience with SAP and accounts desirable, but not essential.
