Major Road Projects Victoria

Working at Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) means being part of something big.

We oversee more than 40 projects as a cornerstone of Victoria's Big Build, including some of the State's most important roads.

With this growing portfolio of projects as part of the Big Build, it is imperative that we provide high level program advice for monitoring the development of project schedules, the provision of detailed schedule advice, and timely communication of program status and any delays or issues that arise. And that's where this role comes in!

We would love for you to apply, regardless of whether you think you tick all the boxes!

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

  • Supporting the MRPV project teams in the development of project schedules for the various MRPV projects to ensure completion targets and construction programs are realistic and performance can be readily monitored and reported.
  • Advising the MRPV project teams and the Planning and Scheduling Manager on any schedule issues arising and recommending improvements and mitigation actions to ensure project schedules are robust and able to be delivered within the required time frames.
  • Providing input into Tender Documentation and undertake detailed review and evaluation of the construction Contractors' tender and contract schedules. Ensure all Scheduling contract requirements are met and provide evaluation recommendations based on key selection criteria.

We are looking for an expert in this field, who has the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes in a high-pressure environment. Someone who has sound knowledge of project management and scheduling methodologies- in particular across the full life-cycle of construction projects or like industries. Key to your success is someone who can work collaboratively with our engineering, commercial and project teams to ensure completeness, accuracy and clarity of schedules. The successful applicant will also have the ability to identify critical works and provide timely and succinct communication updates of program status and any delays or issues that arise.

This role is a 3-year fixed term position and will be based out of our main headquarters at 180 Lonsdale street in Melbourne's CBD.

 We do work that matters:

  • In the last year 46% of the talent, we hired were women.  Apply today and be a part of our future.
  • Our projects will reduce congestion and travel times, improve safety, connect communities and improve the roads you rely on every day.
  • Have you heard about our Ecologiq program at MRPV?  We're working closely with the construction industry to remove barriers to the use of recycled content, to make sustainable materials the first choice where possible and pave a greener future for Victoria
  • Check out our news feed – we want our communities to have their say!

MRPV also welcomes flexible working arrangements, and should you be interested in part time availabilities, we encourage you to apply and discuss your preferences with our Talent Team.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which include national police checks and misconduct screening. Please be advised that it is requirement for all MTIA staff to be compliant with the MTIA COVID-19 Vaccination Policy (the Policy). The Policy stipulates that, unless an employee is an Excepted Person within the meaning of the Policy, in order to attend an MTIA workplace the employee must hold ‘up-to-date' vaccination status in accordance with ATAGI guidance, which for most includes their primary vaccination course and booster. Should you require further information about the Policy, please have a conversation with our Talent Acquisition team.

To be part of something meaningful and leave a positive legacy connecting Victorian communities, apply for a role with us today.
