Are you an experienced Psychologist looking for a new challenge in a progressive service?

About the role

Our Senior Psychologist is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to provide leadership across our Mental Health Directorate and ensure all psychologists receive supervision appropriate to their needs and clinical standards. You will also provide specific training for all disciplines to support recovery orientated services. This includes our Provisional Psychologists, Psychology Registrars, Psychology students and Registered Psychology staff.

This position is ongoing part time 64 hours per fortnight. This position is eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV). 

What you bring

The selection criteria for this role includes but is not limited to:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience as a Grade 2 Psychologist (or equivalent)
  • Appropriate qualifications and registration with AHPRA, with area of practice endorsement in clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, or Clinical Neuropsychology as per Psychology Board of Australia criteria
  • Current Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) registered Supervisor status
  • Skills and experience of providing assessment, relevant to your area of endorsement, in a variety of service settings
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team based environment, and also work with limited direction in an autonomous fashion
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant contemporary legislation, regulations and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) College of Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, and/or Clinical Neuropsychology is advantageous but not essential.
