Position Details

Working at Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) means being part of something big.

We oversee more than 40 projects as a cornerstone of Victoria's Big Build, including some of the State's most important roads.

But this is just beginning.  Come and join us as a Senior Project Engineer to deliver projects around Melbourne North and North-West (Craigieburn/Sunbury Road projects). 

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

  • Providing professional expertise to ensure the development and delivery of complex   major roads infrastructure projects to time, scope, cost and quality requirements.
  • Developing framework and monitor project delivery to ensure projects are delivered to best practice contract and asset management standards and in compliance with planning and environmental approvals
  • Providing active professional direction to supervise management of works contracts, monitor contractor progress and effectively negotiate variations, claims and other issues.
  • Anticipating, identifying and responding to project risks and issues. Including completing complex risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Carrying out Functional Completion and Practical Completion processes

You will be an experienced Engineer who has supported the planning and delivery of major complex road/rail infrastructure through developing and delivering project activities. You will be proactive, be able to juggle and prioritise tasks and be known for building effective and collaborative stakeholder relationships.

This role is a 3-year fixed-term position based out of our Essendon Fields hub office.
