About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Health Promotion Officer to join the team. This position is based at the Warrnambool campus, and working across the Camperdown and Lismore campuses occasionally.

The Health Promotion Officer will be a capable and organised practitioner and will be responsible for implementing and evaluating health promotion activity as outlined in the South West Healthcare Health Promotion Plan.

This is a permanent part time (48 hours per fortnight/3 days per week) position. Graduates are welcome to apply for the position.

What you bring

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated understanding of evidence informed health promotion principles and practice, with high-level project management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and health professionals.

The Health Promotion Officer must have excellent oral communication skills including public speaking and presentation skills, and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to develop concise and accessible briefs, reports and project documents. Ideally, the successful candidates will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health or a related discipline.
