Position Details

About the Role:

As part of the State Government's expansion of the Victorian Government Purchasing Board's (VGPB) remit across government, CFA is now required to comply with a raft of VGPB procurement policies including the mandatory use of certain State Purchase Contracts (SPC). The key deliverable of this project is to ensure the successful implementation of the SPCs for travel management and stationery and workplace consumables across CFA business units/regions and districts.

Specifically, you will develop the project plan in consultation with relevant internal stakeholders to define CFA specific needs and requirements. Additionally, managing the vendor engagement also, the setup of systems and processes to support use of the relevant SPCs within CFA's operational and governance structure.

Other duties will include the development/enhancement of

  • relevant policy/procedures.
  • training materials and training plan.
  • Delivery of training plan across CFA business units/regions and districts.
  • Development of BAU transition plan including roles, responsibilities and relevant governance frameworks.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating multiple and/or complex projects and an understanding of project management methodologies and systems (Smartsheet)
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to obtain effective cooperation and contribution from stakeholders (intra and inter project collaboration) and ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to negotiate and deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial resources
  • Experience working within a volunteer environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in project management or equivalent (desirable)
