Position Details
South West Healthcare's (SWH) Portland Adult Community Mental Health Service is seeking applications from a committed and dynamic Psychologist or Registrar / Intern Psychologist to join the team and provide experience, growth and development.
About the role
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will support consumers with severe and persistent mental illness living within the local community. In a recovery oriented model of care, consumers, their families and carers are provided with clinical and non-clinical treatment as part of short and long term case management. Service provision is recovery oriented and trauma informed utilising natural and existing community supports as required in the South West region.
You will have the opportunity to work in an integrated role providing comprehensive psychological assessments, delivering evidence based clinical interventions, and care coordination. Extensive training and support is offered with the role including for registrar and intern psychologist's provision of supervision and professional development to become endorsed Clinical Psychologists (registrar), or Generally registered Psychologist (5+1) intern per AHPRA requirements.
Permanent full time (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO or part time positions available.
This position is eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
What you bring
As a Psychologist or Registrar / Intern Psychologist you will demonstrate excellent skills and broad experience in mental health clinical services, including a proven ability to work within a team based multi-disciplinary model. A working knowledge of Recovery Oriented practices, trauma informed care, current mental health trends, legislation and relevant policy directions of mental health services is also essential for this role.
The successful applicant must have excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and initiative with proven ability to work autonomously and within a team, as well as an ability to demonstrate good judgement, work planning, decision-making abilities and organisational skills.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with theVictorian Public Health Sector (Medical Scientist, Pharmacists & Psychologists) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 with the appropriate classification of Provisional Psychologists Grade 1 $60,106.80 - $87,391.20 or Psychologists Grade 2 $90,812.80 - $102,757.20
