Position Details
The Nurse Coordinator (NC), Custodial Health is at the forefront of providing safe, coordinated and high-quality care to the women at Tarrengower Prison (TP). The NC is responsible for the operational and clinical service management of select staff and resources at TP. The NC will ensure delivery of coordinated care within the medical centre at TP. The NC will also be responsible for the coordinated delivery of health promotion and prevention programs.
The NC must demonstrate an understanding of primary healthcare delivery within a custodial setting, act as a mentor and role model, and facilitate the development of clinical and organisational skills in all staff. The NC will contribute to the refinement of the model of care with ongoing review.
About you
- Current Nursing Registration with the AHPRA
- Clinical and management experience within a complex healthcare or other relevant organisation, preferably at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of, or experience in the delivery of healthcare within a custodial setting
- Ability to manage and lead people, including a highly educated workforce
- Ability to consult and collaborate with others and work as an effective member of a team to deliver organisational outcomes
- Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level within a complex organization
