Our Information Technology team has an exciting full-time ongoing opportunity available for a .Net Developer who specialises in the Optimizely DXP CMS environment. 

About the role

As a .Net Developer you will play a critical role in overseeing the development of code deployed to Parliament's Optimizely DXP CMS environment. You will actively engage with stakeholders to deliver agreed value and ensure that the Parliament's web content management system is used to optimally deliver digital services working in an agile software development environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead web development for Parliament of Victoria and play a key role in advising on and developing the strategy, in conjunction with the Project Manager
  • Administer and configure Parliament's Optimizely DXP environment, ensuring the system runs reliably and efficiently to deliver stakeholder value.
  • Ensure development standards are maintained by developers (back-end and front-end) contributing code to the Parliament Optimizely environment.
  • Provide advice on the technical design of software components and integrations with other software systems. Participate in design and architecture workshops as required and contribute to the development of technical roadmaps.

About you

You will bring specialist knowledge to the role to deliver innovative development solutions that meet organisational strategic objectives. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Demonstrated experience and comprehensive understanding and application of the Microsoft .NET web environment such as C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, MS Azure, and API integration.
  • Experience creating search or cloud applications in a Microsoft .NET environment.
  • Proven understanding and experience with agile digital software development and experience working in a modern agile continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment using Git and Azure DevOps/Jira.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience with the application of governance frameworks in modern IT and/or project environments.
  • Proven ability to communicate across a diverse range of technical and non-technical audiences with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement and ability to influence the use of technology to drive business improvements.
