Position Details
The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded, community-based emergency services organisations. We are proud of the work we do in protecting lives and property, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CFA strives to be a values-based organisation and an organisation of choice for volunteers and employees, where people with a variety of skills, experiences and backgrounds all add value through the roles they perform.
About the Role:
It's an exciting time at the CFA as our commitment to continuous improvement evolves. The CFA has secured funding for the Mobility Data Capability (MDC) project, which involves creating and deploying tablets for CFA operational appliances. These tablets will provide broadband data capabilities to CFA volunteer brigades, improving their ability to respond to emergencies.
The Project Coordinator adds valuable project management expertise to the team, overseeing planning, implementation, compliance, documentation, and stakeholder engagement, while also managing budgets and offering guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key project objectives are as follows:
- Developing a standard CFA mobility tablet platform utilizing 4G/5G network technology, seamlessly integrating it with specified CFA and operational information support systems.
- Installing the mobile device in designated CFA vehicles, ensuring compliance with Australian Design Rules and Standards.
- Transitioning the system into operational support and maintenance mode, minimizing disruption to CFA's regular operations.
- Pending guidance from EMV and ESTA, adapting the MDC platform to facilitate the exchange of event information and two-way status updates with ESTA CAD.
About You:
- A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating projects and an understanding of project management methodologies.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a small team.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet tight work demands.
- Ability to build working relationships and liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders
