About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an experienced Specialist Palliative Care Physician to provide high quality and comprehensive services to palliative care patients, both in community and inpatient settings. 

This position has a primary focus on the provision of clinical services for both inpatients at SWH and as the clinical lead of the Community Palliative Care team. The Palliative Care Physician will facilitate excellence and innovation in the delivery of palliative care services and promote a cooperative environment and team approach to delivery of those services.

What you bring

The successful applicant will hold a current registration certificate as required by the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia, recognised post graduate qualification in Palliative Medicine, preferably FRACP (Chapter of Palliative Medicine) and a minimum of two years' experience in the provision of clinical palliative care services in both the community and the inpatient settings. Knowledge of Health Services, particularly Palliative Care Medicine and or experience in a related field of work.

Effective communication, conflict management and negotiation skills are desirable. Along with a high level of written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
