Position Details
  • Permanent full-time position
  • Saraly range $106,534 to $117,716 plus Superannuation
  • CBD office location/ hybrid working

Position Overview:

Complaints and Statutory Referrals is responsible for the assessment of building and plumbing complaints, statutory referrals and building surveyor termination applications and initiating the appropriate course of action in accordance with the relevant legislation, VBA policies and business rules.

The Team Leader provides support and guidance to staff to develop their skillset, strive for excellence and meet the organisations priorities, managing performance to motivate the team and resolve knowledge gaps.

The role provides case advice and attend to escalated and complex high-risk matters, settle priorities and direct activities to ensure consistent, responsive, efficient and effective service delivery.

The Team Leader also works collaboratively across teams and divisions to support the achievement of organisational goals. 

Who we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Experience in working within a legislative or regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to analyse issues, draw conclusions and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to liaise and consult across all levels and manage stakeholder relationships.
