Position Details

Turn data into insights that shape Victoria's workforce planning and mobility. 

You'll analyse workforce trends and help explain what the data means, providing insights that influence planning and policy across the public sector. 

What you'll do 

As a Data Analyst you will work closely with colleagues across the Commission on mobility and workforce planning projects to: 

  • analyse and interpret workforce data to identify skill gaps, shortages and opportunities for better workforce mobility 
  • prepare reports, dashboards and visualisations that support strategic workforce planning and policy 
  • contribute to the broader work of the Data and Insights team, including surveys, data collections and continuous improvement. 

Who we're looking for 

We are seeking someone who: 

  • has a tertiary qualification and/or experience in data analysis or reporting 
  • can extract, transform and analyse structured datasets using Excel and SQL 
  • can communicate insights clearly through reports, dashboards and presentations 
  • works well in a team, adapts to change and takes initiative in solving problems.
