Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Acute Amherst Ward

2 Roles: Fixed Term Part Time:

  • 64 hours per fortnight. Effective immediately to 31st January 2019
  • 48 hours per fortnight. Effective 10th December 2018 to 31st August 2019

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join the Amherst team in the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operational management for the Acute Ward, in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager and Director of Nursing.

Essential Attributes

KSC1    Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

KSC2 - Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills.

KSC3 - Demonstrated understanding of professional nursing issues.

KSC4 - Demonstrated understanding of financial management.

KSC5 - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

KSC6 - Posses highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution strategies.

KSC7 - Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, coordination and organisational skills.

KSC8 - High level computer skills.

KSC9 - Be innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change.

KSC10 - Driver's Licence and National Police Certificate.

Desirable Attributes

KSC11 - Clinical experience in the relevant speciality.

KSC12 - Hold a relevant nursing tertiary qualification or be working towards same.
