Position Details
About the role
- South West Healthcare's (SWH) Mental Health Inpatient Services provides best practice nursing care in a recovery-oriented model through assessment and clinical planning in an inpatient 24/7 setting.
- Supported by Mental Health Community teams and the Prevention and Recovery Centre, providing excellence in care to the broader community in the South West region of Victoria.
- Experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team within the Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit (MHAIU).
- Undertake a range of assessments and contribute to the care planning of consumers, supporting them and their carers in their recovery.
- Support the development and maintenance of a high-quality care environment.
- Promote and participate in quality improvement activities and initiatives.
Position overview
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2
- Salary Range: $67,714.40 - $94,551.60 pro rata, plus superannuation
- We have permanent full-time and part-time positions available to support our dedicated workforce. Hours of duty are based on a 24/7 rostered shifts
These positions are eligible for up an incentive payment of up to $10,000, which can be used for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
What you bring
- Motivated RPN ideally holding post graduate qualifications In Mental Health Nursing (or working towards).
- Demonstrated experience and skills in delivering a broad range of psychiatric care and services.
- Experience in mental health environments, both inpatient and community settings.
- Must hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
