About the role
The Aboriginal Programs team at South West Healthcare is looking for two passionate Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people to join as Aboriginal Liaison Officers (ALOs). In this role, you'll help individuals and families understand their care needs, hospital procedures, and treatment options. You'll support patients in talking with health professionals, making sure they understand their medical care and are involved in decisions about it.
You'll also have the chance to assist with the development of programs that benefit the whole Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community. The job involves working in both hospital and community settings to create and implement programs that improve overall health and address specific needs.
Position overview

- Warrnambool Campus with travel to other SWH Campus's and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.

- Salary Range: $60,398.00 - $95,000 and superannuation
- No prior experience is necessary - we welcome and encourage applications from individuals who are new to the field. Training and ongoing support will be provided to assist you to build your skills and confidence
