    About the Role

    CFA ICT Services provides tools and data services, including application services, information management, data warehousing, and reporting for CFA management, members and the community.

    This opportunity involves leading the architecture, design, development, implementation, governance and management of data lifecycle to support CFA's business goals. As part of the ICT Services Enterprise Architecture team, the Data Architect will apply expertise in data architecture, governance, modelling, transformation, security, integration, warehousing, BI and visualisation using modern cloud technologies. You will set standards, frameworks and reference architectures and work with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with the CFA's objectives.

     

    Key responsibilities of the role will include the following:

    • Lead the development and execution of roadmaps for modern data solutions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and effective data-driven decision-making.
    • Guide and support data governance to ensure quality throughout the data management lifecycle and maintain frameworks for data quality, integration and management.
    • Provide technical leadership and ensure solution designs align with CFA Enterprise Architecture principles, adhering to standards for data quality, integration and security.
    • Offer expert advice on data solutions, ensuring an enterprise approach to data quality, analysis and business intelligence.
    • Create and maintain documentation for data models, lineage, dependencies, and transformation rules.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support data management and BI objectives and recommend enhancements to the data warehouse environment.
    • Guide the design of data structures, participate in data transformation projects and oversee data integration with SAP HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud.

    About You

    Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

    • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Information technology with extensive experience and high proficiency in design and development of modern data solutions and thorough understanding of relational structures, dimensional data modeling, SQL skills, data warehousing, data analytics and reporting.
    • Extensive experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence (BI), including DW/BI design and development data analysis, report writing, DBA and software development experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in data modelling, Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, Data cataloguing and data life cycle management.
    • Experience in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Data Bricks, ML and AI.
    • Experience working with business and technology stakeholders and ability to provide coaching, guidance and support at all levels.
    • Experience in the production of documentation including technical specifications, data flow diagrams, conceptual, logical and physical data models, data integration documents, operating instructions and test plans.
    • Good oral and written communication skills to effectively translate technical ideas into business language.
    • Experience in working with SAP ECC and SAP HANA data structures and overseeing and guiding the data use, data quality and integration with SAP HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud (preferable).
