Position Details
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Executive Director, Program Delivery to join VHBA's leadership team. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of health infrastructure projects across Victoria, leading teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. In this role, you will provide expert advice to government officials on risks, issues, and opportunities, while coordinating VHBA's delivery program with other major infrastructure initiatives.
Your strong relationship-building and negotiation skills will be crucial as you collaborate with public health service providers and private sector partners. You will also be responsible for ensuring project scope and budget align with business case and that potential risks are effectively understood and managed.
We are looking for:
- Senior-level experience in developing and delivering major social infrastructure projects, managing commercial responsibilities, and a broad bandwidth of public and private stakeholders.
- Proven experience in managing projects through various forms of contract agreements.
- Strong ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams focused on performance, accountability, integrity and career development.
- Focus on proactively anticipating, advising on and addressing significant legal, environmental and commercial risks associated with managing projects and contracts in the public domain.
- Expertise in various project delivery methodologies and an unwavering record of delivering projects within specified timeframes and budgets.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, particularly in complex commercial environments.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification (Bachelor or higher) in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, and/or extensive industry experience.
