Position Details
About the role:
- The Immunisation Vaccine Operations and Systems Teamis responsible for managing the procurement, forecasting, receipting, warehousing and distribution of vaccines. The team is also responsible for the development and utilisation of technology and systems to facilitate the ordering of vaccines and to monitor distribution trends and ordering behaviours.
- The Vaccine Coordinator is responsible for coordination of vaccine logistics and distribution for National Immunisation Program and state funded vaccination programs. This role will also be responsible for vaccine forecasting, ordering and invoice processing.
- This role will also contribute to the development and utilisation of technology, systems and projects that meet or respond to government, department and the programs priorities in relation to procurement and distribution of vaccines and immunisation. Attention to detail, stakeholder engagement and strong record keeping skills will be a key asset in this role.

How you'll make a difference:
- Provide guidance and advice on immunisation operations including vaccine stock levels (including the identification of vaccines with short expiry dates), forecasts, and orders.
- Manage National Immunisation Program and state funded program vaccine procurement and logistics in collaboration with the state's contracted vaccine distribution centre, vaccine suppliers and the Commonwealth.
- Assist with operational tasks such as provision of emergency vaccine stock, managing government-funded vaccine accounts, and provide effective communication to the community and other stakeholders, as required.
- Collate, analyse and present vaccination data, providing accurate advice and information; identify and escalate emerging issues and areas of risk impacting on immunisation program initiatives and imperatives.
- Assist in providing advice to stakeholders and assisting in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on a range of matters.
- When required, contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
- Assisting in research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
- Supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met and projects delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health (immunisation) is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in data analytics and reporting is desirable, including relevant experience with Excel and Power BI.
