About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking applications for a Social Worker within our Transition to Mental Health Program. SWH believes in providing a highly supportive environment for Social Workers in our Transition program, encouraging professional development and excellence. Our aim is to provide clinical structured support during the transition to the mental health sector.
This program offers the opportunity for you to consolidate and apply theoretical knowledge by developing skills in a variety of clinical rotations through our Mental Health teams.
This transition role is a supernumerary position within our mental health services with dedicated study time and access to our Mental Health Social Work Educator.
Position overview
- Full-time (40 hours per week) with a monthly ADO
- 12 Month - Fixed term position
- Opportunity to work across multiple Campus'
- Qualified Social Worker Grade 2 Year 1
- Salary Range: $88,030.80 pro rata , plus superannuation
This position is eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV) up to $10,000.
What you bring
The successful Social Work applicant will bring at least 2 years of professional experience in a sector other than mental health. Transitioning Social Workers employed into these positions will bring discipline specific skills into the sector as well as valuable diversity of experience that will benefit the mental health and wellbeing workforce, such as expertise in physical health, aged care, disability or family violence.
