Position Title: Senior Occupational Therapist – Driving Assessor (Grade 3 (Year 1 to Year 4))
Classification: VG3 – VG6
Salary per hour: $49.08 to $56.08 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options
Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 32 hours per fortnight
Award: Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise agreement 2021-2026
Role description
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Ambulatory Care team in this ongoing part time role. Primarily, this role will be responsible for the assessment of clients' driving ability as a result of a recent medical diagnosis, accident on the road, or following an unsuccessful VicRoads older driver test. This includes off road and on road assessments and the preparation of timely and accurate written reports. However there may be additional clinical responsibilities depending on the applicant's skills and experience.
This role works in close collaboration with a range of health professionals and other community-based service providers to deliver the best outcomes for the client, their family and carers. It also provides supervision to grade 1 and 2 OTs, AHAs and students as required.
About you
- Tertiary qualification (Bachelor/Masters) in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Completion of relevant post graduate Occupational Therapy Driving Assessor course.
- Current Victorian Driver's licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current registration with VicRoads as a driving assessor
