About us 

The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.  

About the role 

CCP are seeking a Program Manager to lead a pivotal role in the successful delivery of CCP – HCM initiative. Working within the CCP branch, the Program Manager will lead overall HCM program delivery, ensuring seamless coordination across internal and external teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex digital products such as SAP SuccessFactors with large multidisciplinary teams. This position will work closely with several key stakeholder teams across DGS (People and Culture, Corporate Shared Services) and other Victorian Government departments.

About you 

To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate: 

  • Technical Leadership: Take ownership of the program, providing technical direction and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and digital strategies. Demonstrated leadership experience in HCM digital transformation and services including human centred design, analytics and insights, project management, strategy, and project establishment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders both within and outside the Department, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication channels to relevant governance bodies.
  • Contract Management: Oversee the management of contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance, timely delivery, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the program, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and outcomes through innovation, creativity, and best practices.

Mandatory requirements

  • An appropriate qualification in technology, project management or proven track record of equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years proven track record delivering complex HCM platform implementation.
  • 10 + years' experience in Project Management in an Agile/hybrid environment.
