Position Details

The Senior VTIF Regional Engagement Officer is responsible for leading community and stakeholder engagement in transmission infrastructure and Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) projects in Victoria. This role involves creating and executing tailored engagement strategies, building social licence, and working with various stakeholders, including local communities and landholders, throughout the VTIF planning cycle
What you will deliver

  • Develop and implement best practice strategies to engage and communicate with key stakeholders to build social license for transmission projects in the VTIF development and plan delivery phase, including landholders, rural and regional communities, local government, community organisations, industry stakeholders, educational institutions.
  • Support regional engagement teams in building meaningful relationships with Traditional Owner groups to establish a partnership approach to engagement with Traditional Owners and First Peoples.
  • Identify local community issues, constraints and needs to ensure timely, relevant, and tailored consultation occurs based on local values, concerns, and preferences.
  • Manage the development of communications collateral to inform, define and promote VTIF and Victorian Transmission Plans and VicGrid's role in their development.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in stakeholder engagement, media, or public relations highly regarded.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and management, with experience on complex major projects or energy projects highly valued.
  • Well-developed written and communication skills including experience in developing promotional and communication materials.
