Position Details
We are currently accepting applications for an Exercise Physiologist (Grade 1) to join the Allied Health team on permanent part-time basis. We offer 32 hours per fortnight until the 2 November 2025 (leave cover position) then reducing to 16 hours per fortnight as of 3 November 2025.
Role Statement
The Exercise Physiologist (EP) Grade 1, will work within a multidisciplinary allied health team to develop and implement client-centred exercise programs for clients with chronic and complex conditions. The work will involve 1-1 work as well as group programs. The EP will demonstrate good clinical reasoning and exercise prescription skills, and a commitment to learning. Under the guidance of a Grade 2 therapist and/or Senior Clinician, the EP will be accountable for providing evidence-based client care through the application of clinical skills in assessment, planning, implementation, treatment and management of clients/participants.
The role includes organisation and implementation of programs at CHRH with clients who have a wide range of clinical presentations including: dementia, diabetes, cancer, musculoskeletal, neurological and other chronic and complex conditions. The EP will work with the Grade 2 Therapist to evaluate and develop new and existing programs, and develop a caseload with our NDIS participants, Medicare Funded Services, Social Support and Commonwealth home support Programs.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent part-time position working 16 hours per fortnight + 16 hours per fortnight, fixed-term till the 2 November 2025 providing leave cover of incumbent.
