Position Details

We currently have an exciting opportunity for 2 x Senior Strategic Planners (fixed term until 31 December 2026) to join the Housing Building and Land Delivery Group within the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP). 

The role is to lead and manage the preparation of plans and other associated strategic work for the development of activity centres.

You will be part of a team of professionals working closely with DTP Activity Centres program and other DTP and government colleagues in preparing plans which demonstrate a whole of government approach to planning, including transport, community services, open space and other essential infrastructure.

You will be responsible for consulting with a range of stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes around specific planning issues as well as implement government policy by delivering housing choice and jobs to meet population growth close to existing services and public transport; as well as preparation of sound planning advice and analysis as required.
